The mission of Tibetan Canadian Cultural Centre (TCCC) is to preserve and foster the growth of Tibetan culture within the Tibetan community in Ontario. We are a multi-faceted organization providing programs, events, services, resources and facilities to promote an understanding and appreciation of Tibet’s rich culture and traditions to Canadians from all heritages. Currently TCCC has four summer positions open for youth.

Job title: EVENT MANAGEMENT INTERN
Hours : 5 weeks (34hrs/week)
Reports to: Event Management/Membership Coordinator
Salary: $11.00/hour
Minimum Qualification: Post Secondary degree/diploma from any stream
TCCC requires a dedicated youth to work with the Event Management Coordinator to implement TCCC’s fundraising activities. The intern shall assist with fund raising activities including fund drives, donor relations, fund raising events, and other fund development activities. Through these events and initiatives, the intern shall also provide administrative support for donor recruitment, cultivation, retention, stewardship and appreciation. The intern will also assist with communication strategies, including marketing, public relations and social media related to development and fund raising efforts.
The successful applicant would possess:
1. Manage and/or provide staff support for fund raising campaigns, events and activities
2. Support efforts to identify, solicit, steward, maintain, and upgrade annual donors
3. Create bi-weekly written development activity and fund raising report and other database reports as needed.
4. Proactive, able to take initiative and able to work with a close team environment
5. Strong creative and conceptual skills

Job title: COMMUNITY OUTREACH INTERN

Reports to: Public Relations Coordinator

TCCC requires a dedicated youth to work in the Parkdale community to reach out to community members to inform them of the various facilities and services provided by TCCC and other organizations in the Parkdale neighbourhood. The intern will also help with developing a communication strategy through social media and web to increase engagement with Tibetan Canadian youth in Parkdale. The intern shall possess excellent project management and communication skills. The intern will also help form the Youth Led Advisory Group and assist in conducting focus groups as well as Youth Program initiatives held in Parkdale.
The successful applicant would possess:
1. Proactive, able to take initiative and able to work with a close team environment
2. Marketing and social media experience
3. Proven written communication skills
4. Knowledge of community services, health and social services and linkages to the communities served
5. Has a strong creative and conceptual skill
6. Speak English and Tibetan fluently

Job title: YOUTH AND SPORTS INTERN
Hours: 5 weeks (30hrs/week)
Reports to: Youth and Sports Coordinator
Salary: $11.00/hour
Minimum Qualification: Secondary education
TCCC requires a dedicated youth to work with TCCC Youth & Sports Coordinator to help with organizing the Tibetan Canadian boys and girls basketball tournament at Masaryk Cowan Community Centre in Parkdale. In addition, the intern will also assist with developing the U-14 soccer development program or any other activity that can engage youth. TCCC will make efforts to host these programs in Parkdale due to the presence of the highest number of community members. These activities will help the youths to come together and develop friendships while learning about the value of leadership and team efforts.
The successful applicant would possess:
1. Attention to detail pays close attention to detail ensuring everything is covered off
2. Calm under pressure/Conflict Resolution. Demonstrate composure in stressful situations and follows TCCC protocol when dealing with challenging people during these events.
3. Communication: Speak, listen and write in a clear, confident, respectful, thorough and timely manner using appropriate and effective communication tools and techniques.
4. Anticipate, understand, and respond to the needs during these events.
5. Leadership: Mobilize teams, lead by example, inspire others to achieve.

TCCC requires a dedicated youth to work with TCCC Education Coordinator to develop and assist with programs for youth. The activities focused will be on leading/instruction individuals and groups while also assisting with patrolling/supervising activities. These programs will be targeted towards students to develop solid leadership and communication skills to become into responsible citizens within their community
The successful applicant would possess:
1. Ability to lead groups and individuals in educational, recreational or leisure programs
2. Assist with special events, prepare reports, and maintain sports equipments
3. Attend to clients with special needs
4. Enforce safety rules and regulations
5. Understand principles of group dynamics, experience mediating disputes
6. is proactive and able to take initiative
7. First Aid Certificate would be an asset
