Renovation Committee

The Tibetan Canadian Cultural Centre (TCCC) Renovation Committee has been established by the TCCC board to achieve transformation in three areas within the existing facility at 40 Titan Road in Toronto, Ontario. A phased approach has been recommended.

Phase 1 (completed in July 6, 2019) – On the north side where the current three statues are hosted, the space will be rehabilitated into a assembly hall by lifting the roof and also to create a multi-purpose recreational space.  Two large rooms with washroom along with change/shower room for boys and girls is within scope.  A full size kitchen is also part of the plan.

Phase 2 (ongoing) – the currently the east side of the current Banquet hall will be used to create classrooms for language classes.

Phase 3 – the south side (entrance of facility) will be reverted to the two storey office space and the space on the first floor lobby will include the reception area, library, gift shop, meeting rooms and some offices. The facade will also be upgraded with Tibetan architectural design.

The committee was formed and their first meeting was held on Thu October 1, 2015.  The President and the Vice President of the TCCC board,  chair the committee. The renovation team meets on a regularly basis at TCCC every Wednesday between 7-10 pm.
