Multi-Purpose Hall (gymnasium) Opening Ceremony
December 22, 2019 @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pm
To celebrate the completion of renovations to the Tibetan Canadian Cultural Centre (TCCC) a ribbon cutting ceremony will take place on Sunday December 22, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. This event will open the newly built multi-purpose hall with a kick-off of the first annual Gangjong Winter basketball tournament at 11:30 a.m.
The TCCC was a recipient of a capital grant from the Ontario Trillium Foundation. The funds were used to complete the gymnasium floor and washrooms. His Eminence Gosok Rinpoche from Kunphen Buddhist Centre also supported the TCCC with the purchase of the retractable wall that separates the assembly hall, and the multi-purpose hall.
The ribbon cutting ceremony will include light refreshments and a tour of the facilities (new assembly hall, and His Holiness’ room).
Speakers will include Lakeshore-Etobicoke MPP Christine Hogarth, and emerging Tibetan youth leaders who will share their sentiments on what the new space means to them.
As the event is indoors it will take place snow or sleet so please join us in our celebration!
