Welcome to Gangjong Choedenling’s first computer workshop for Tibetan elders and other adults.

Our objective is to have Tibetan Canadian Cultural Centre, the name you know by ‘Gangjong Choedenling’, to be meaningful for the Tibetan community.

On August 18 2013, sunday, from 3pm to 5pm, we will be holding an introduction to computers workshop for Tibetan elders as a means to improve the Computer literacy in the Tibetan community.

As a Tibetan in a social community, we have the want and need to know what is happening in Tibetan societies all over the world. Many Tibetan elders get such global news through family talks, gossips between friends and people who have watched the news on Tibetan News sites. Some wait for their sons and daughters to show them the news videos. In either cases, the information on Tibet will be limited and delayed.

The main challenge that prevents Tibetan elders to watch Tibetan news is the lack of computer knowledge that can be learned fairly easily. It is to be understood that being poor at English will not stop you from being able to get Tibetan news information. NO PROBLEM.

Gangjong Choedenling organises a computer workshop that familiarises you with computer components and explains the steps needed to watch latest Tibetan sites.
