To realize our vision, TCCC has initiated a comprehensive plan seeking support from parents, grandparents, friends, youth, students, corporations, foundations, and other community members. Contributions to this project will fund the construction of our Classrooms and Kitchen. Together, we can make this a reality by coming together to pledge and give generously.
CLASSROOMS PROJECT: Nurturing Minds, Preserving Heritage
Our state-of-the-art classrooms will provide a dynamic educational experience, including:
- Language Preservation: Tibetan language classes to keep our linguistic heritage alive.
- Cultural Education: Programs on Tibetan history, arts, and philosophy.
- Yoga Sessions: A dedicated environment for yoga practice, ensuring proper instruction, focus, and a peaceful atmosphere for participants.
- Buddhist Philosophy: Classes exploring mindfulness, compassion, meditation, and the historical and cultural context of Buddhism.
- Community Workshops: Versatile spaces for various community-led workshops and events.
Each classroom will be equipped with modern teaching aids, ensuring an engaging and effective learning environment for all ages.
KITCHEN PROJECT: The Heart of Tibetan Culture
Our kitchen is more than a place to prepare food; it is where culture thrives and is shared. Our fully-equipped kitchen will offer:
- Culinary Heritage: Classes on Tibetan cooking, preserving our rich culinary traditions.
- Community Gatherings: A space for community meals, fostering togetherness and cultural exchange.
- Vocational Training: Opportunities for community members to gain culinary skills for professional development.
These renovations will position us for long-term growth and sustainability by generating revenue from the rental of new and renovated spaces and increasing our program offerings.
