Buddhist Teacher and Instructor – KHENPO LOBSANG TSEPEL

Khenpo Lobsang Tsepel, or Sherab Lopel was born in 1970 in Zal Mo Gang, Dho Kham Tibet. In 1985, I enrolled in Kham Riwoche Monastery, and studied the core texts of the Kagyu and Nyingma lineages, along with liturgies, ceremonial dances, and other topics for thirteen years, and became thoroughly accomplished.  In 1997 left Tibet to India and joined Sera Tekchen Ling, where he studied psychology, logic, and analysis.  He late joined the great non-sectarian monastery of Glorious Dzongsar University, the Joyful Garden of Dharma, where he studied the thirteen major philosophical texts and the eighteen well-known treatises, and after completely accomplishing them, was given the title of Khenpo [“professor”].  Following the expressed command of Khen Rinpoche Kunga Wangchuk, the school principal of Dzongsar University, he went to Riwoche Monastery in Nepal, and to Ka-Nying Monastery for awhile to teach. In 2006 he came to Canada. At present he is the Buddhist Philosophy Teacher at Tibetan Canadian Cultural Centre. He teaches Buddhism every Sunday.
