TCCC Cultural Concert by TCCC Performing Arts students

Tibetan Canadian Cultural Centre (Gangjong Choedenling) is happy to announce a “Cultural Concert” by our TCCC Performing Arts Students on Saturday, April 13, 2013. The students under the guidance of our committed volunteer music teachers will display their musical talents.

We urge you all to mark your calendar and join us to support and encourage our children, and celebrate their learning and achievement.

The main objective of the concert is to provide opportunities and encouragement to all the TCCC Performing Arts students and future students to learn Tibetan cultural song and dances. The teaching and performing of traditional Tibetan songs and dances are one of the means of preserving and handing over our culture to the next generation.

The proceeds from this concert will be used to improve the storage facility for TCCC cultural costumes and musical equipment.

We believe you will support this initiative and join us on Saturday, April 13, 2013.

Thousands of Tibetan Gathered at Yonge-Dundas Square in Toronto to Commemorate the 54th Tibetan National Uprising Day

Video edited by Sonam Entertainment

Thank You Note from CTAO President – March 10, 2013 Commemoration in Toronto

Dear community members,
This year’s Tibetan National Uprising Day in Toronto has been the most successful event of our community. I was told that together we were close to three thousand Tibetans out on the streets of Toronto demanding freedom in Tibet. All of us together have done proud to the cause of Tibet. For many of us it was a matter of taking one day from our busy life. But our one day’s sacrifice made a huge impact in representing the voice of our brothers and sisters in Tibet. We have done our duty conscientiously. This small success in performing our duty towards the cause of Tibet would have been impossible without the enthusiastic support and willing participation from all of you. Therefore, on behalf of the Board members of Canadian Tibetan Association of Ontario, I would like to say “THANK YOU” to our dear community members.
